Love doughnuts? Me too!
Hi, I'm Mi Kim and I love doughnuts.
The infatuation started as a young child, spending my weekends and summers helping out at my parents' restaurant. My dad would stop by a local gas station every morning and we'd go in and grab a few for the road. I was so excited to choose the doughnut, deliberating as if it would be the last time I'd ever have one. It didn't matter that it was 4 am or that we had an hour commute ahead of us. I only remember being happily sandwiched between my parents and enjoying the doughnut before drifting off to sleep on my mom's lap.
Fast forward through pastry school, a few restaurant jobs, 10 years at Macrina Bakery and here I am opening Raised Doughnuts.
So #blessed to have such talented and supportive friends that have helped every step of the way! And so grateful to have met I Miun Liu, an amazing business partner that shares the same passion for doughnuts and Raised!
what we’re all about
WE START OUR DAY AT 2AM. Scaling ingredients and mixing our dough. It takes five to six hours for our doughnuts to be made from start to finish. The dough is mixed in small batches, hand cut, shaped, fried and glazed every morning!
FROM SCRATCH Our glazes, toppings and fillings are made from scratch using whole ingredients. We don’t use preservatives, fillers, or artificial coloring! Because of this, our doughnuts are best enjoyed as soon as possible!
QUALITY AND CONSISTENCY The light and chewy texture lots of you have come to love and enjoy takes time and we will never sacrifice the quality and consistency of our doughnuts for quantity!
ANTI WASTE There is a lot of food waste in our industry and we don’t want to add to it! We strive to avoid waste at all costs. This is why we choose to make one big batch a day and sell them until they’re gone! We also use every last bit of our dough, recycling the scraps into fritters and holes.
WEEKENDS We bust out our maximum capacity. Which comes out to approx. 1500+ doughnuts a day on the weekend.
WEEKDAYS Our weekday batches vary and are determined using our gut and past sales. Sometimes we sell dozens at a time and other days just a few per person. Because of this unpredictability, some days we sell out quickly while other days we last all day. We encourage preordering or calling ahead to put some aside. No minimum required! We just ask you to pick them up by 1PM!

RAISED DOUGHNUTS X BROADCAST COFFEE POP UP 12.16.2018 Loved the seasonal flavors at this POP UP! And the fact that we were next door to Wood Shop BBQ! Our Pandan mochi was the first to sell out!

RAISED DOUGHNUTS X MATCHAMANSEA POP UP 9.30.17 What a fun day spent with Matchmansea! We combined our strengths and created a unique one of a kind experience! Mochi doughnuts and Vietnamese coffee soft serve with a sweetened condensed milk drizzle!
RAISED DOUGHNUTS X CITIZEN CAFE POP UP 7.22.17 Citizen Cafe was so generous in letting us POP UP at their awesome cafe/patio! We sold out in 47 minutes! Looking forward to popping up in their space again!
